Bryson DeChambeau: From Low Amateur to Masters Contender

Chasing His First Green Jacket

Bryson DeChambeau is poised to make his eighth appearance at the Masters Tournament this year. The 28-year-old American has earned a reputation as one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, and he will be looking to use his power to his advantage at Augusta National Golf Club.

DeChambeau's Masters debut in 2016 was a memorable one, as he earned Low Amateur honors. He followed that up with a tie for 29th in 2017 and a tie for 38th in 2018.

In 2019, DeChambeau had his best Masters finish to date, tying for 24th. He entered the 2021 tournament ranked No. 5 in the world, and he finished tied for 10th.

With his current form, DeChambeau will be one of the favorites to win the 2022 Masters. He leads a field that includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, defending champion Hideki Matsuyama, and four-time major winner Rory McIlroy.
